In Whom Do I Trust?

King David, the one who defeated Goliath, wrote these words:

It is better to trust the LORD than to put confidence in people. It
is better to trust the LORD than to put confidence in princes. Psalms 118:8-9

David also wrote the following:

Those who trust in the LORD are as secure as Mount Zion; they will
not be defeated but will endure forever. Psalms 125:1

The Bible reminds us of this truth: "For God has said, 'I will never
fail you. I will never forsake you'" (Hebrews 13:5). But, do we really
believe it?

If you choose some mere mortal human, you will be disappointed.
So let me encourage you to choose to trust in God.

He will never fail or forsake you no matter what!

For there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. Perhaps it is time to ask
yourself: "In whom do I trust?"

Den,

Awesome post!

I totally believe many people stumble over Hebrews 13:5. A very good question that often pops up in their mind, "Do we really believe it?"

Is God forsaking us when we have been diagnosed with cancer? Has He failed us when we lose our battle against it and die?

Is God forsaking us when we confront criminals at gunpoint? Has He failed us when we have been shot and killed?

Is God forsaking us when our child goes missing and an Amber alert has been activated? Has He failed us when the authorities informed us that they found our child raped, abandoned and left for dead?

Is God foraking us when terrorist raid our country? Has He failed us when thousands of people have been killed?

Is God forsaking us when our spouse simply gave left for another man/woman? Has He failed us when our spouse is more attracted to others than their own spouse he/she promised to spend the rest of his/her life with?

Can you imagine the list goes on and on with hundreds of thousands of issues in the world today? And people will say, "Where is God when we need Him?"

There are hundreds of difficult issues in the Bible and God has a reason for these issues. Apostle Paul once asked God to remove the "thorn in his flesh" but God assured him that His power is made perfect in power. Paul gladly boast about his weaknesses so that Christ's power may rest on Him!
