Lord's Supper - Examine Yourself

I posted a blog back in Saturday, August 06, 2005. It's important to understand the Lord's Supper and we need to examine ourselves before we take the Lord's Supper. This will help me focus when I take the Lord's Supper on Sundays.

Anxious to see you and Cindi work together during the Lord's Supper. I am very eager to see the drawings Cindi will do to help us capture what will never be forgotten. Of course, this was never done before in the history of the deaf worship but I pray, through Cindi's gift, people will see God!

I love Sundays!! It's a day where we sit down at the table of Christ for the breaking of bread and drinking of wine. This communion helps me always remember what He has done for us. In Acts 20:7 says, "On the first day of the week, we came to break bread.." Awesome! Sunday is the first day of the week. It's a time where we all come together to break bread, TOGETHER. Sadly, many Christians, including Fairfax Deaf Ministry, with "compartmentalized life" tells me they cannot come due to a number of reasons: friends/families in town (bring them), got homework to do (leave them), it's too far (then carpool), it's too early in the a.m. (do you get up early to go to work during the week?), my kids don't want to go (be an example to them), I have a conflict with one of my bro or sis (resolve it), I have a little cold & feel a little achy (Jesus bled on the cross for you), and I'm not too comfortable about.. (who says you'll be comfortable?)..

It's never about you.. It's all about Jesus!! Read Romans 12:1-2...
