WHY SHOULD WE PRAY!

Why should we pray? We need to pray because we are in a spiritual battle. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Eph 6:12

Yes we are in a spiritual battle, but the battle is the Lord's. We are weak but He is strong. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. We can overcome through Him: because greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

I am reminded of David as he faced Goliath. David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.

Ephesians tells us, Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Eph 6:18

Amen, brother!

I am also reminded that we sometimes forget that God can do almost anything we ask for. When Elijah feared for his life because of the murderous threat by Jezebel, he fled to Mt. Horeb. God confronted him and comforted him with a gentle whisper telling Elijah that He is and will always be with him. When you're facing trials of all kinds, hear God's gentle whisper in your heart as He says, "What are you doing here, (your name)?" (1 Kings 19)
